BOSthón Tango Marathon

BOSthón Tango Marathon is Boston's beloved annual Argentine tango gathering, widely regarded as the friendliest tango marathon on the planet. Now celebrating its 14th edition, BOSthón takes place September 17–21, 2026 at Balera Ballroom Dance Studio in Newton (Auburndale), MA — a newly remodeled venue with a beautiful indoor dance floor and free parking right across the street.

Dancers from around the world come together for non-stop dancing spun by world-renowned DJs, role-balanced milongas, two outdoor alternative milongas on Saturday and Sunday, and a Wednesday pre-milonga at Blue Salt Restaurant to kick things off. Complimentary lunches and snacks keep energy high, while a tango marketplace offers shoes, clothing, and accessories. Taxi dancers and private lessons are also available to book throughout the weekend.

BOSthón's signature 'Tango Houses' program connects out-of-town guests with nearby AirBnBs that accommodate 4–14 dancers each, making travel affordable and fostering friendships over shared meals and rides. New for 2026, the 'BOSthón with Me Hour' invites dancers to enjoy two-song tandas with guest artists, taxi dancers, and DJs in an open, welcoming atmosphere.
