About Crete Tango Week
Crete Tango Week is part of the Tango Week Marathon project and takes place at the Royal & Imperial Belvedere Resort in Hersonisos, near Heraklion on the island of Crete. It is built around a simple idea: a full week of holiday at a top all-inclusive seaside hotel, combined with daily tango, where you can relax with a partner or family and dance with tangueros from around the world without ever leaving the resort.
The 2026 edition runs 28 October to 6 November. From Monday to Thursday the programme offers tango classes, practicas and both afternoon and night milongas; from Friday to Sunday the energy builds into a full tango marathon with afternoon and night milongas and famous DJs from Crete, Europe and beyond. Booking is flexible: guests can attend the whole week, part of it, or just the marathon weekend, and extend their stay before or after.
The all-inclusive package covers breakfast, lunch and dinner with authentic Cretan and Greek dishes, plus all-inclusive drinks until late, so dancers have the energy to keep going through the night. The nearest sandy beach is a short walk or a free hotel shuttle away, with Hersonisos town, shops and tavernas nearby.
The event draws an international roster of teachers and DJs, based across Greece, Germany, Italy, Argentina and beyond, and is organised by the Tango MucHer group with partners in Heraklion, Rethymno and Munich.
