Porteño Tango Festival is a December tango weekend in Thessaloniki, organised by the Cultural Association of Friends of Argentine Tango of Larissa. Its second edition brings Javier Rodriguez & Fatima Vitale back to Greece, with three milongas, eight group classes and a live tango singer.

About Porteño Tango Festival

The 2026 festival runs Friday 11 to Sunday 13 December in the Manolis Anagnostakis hall of Thessaloniki City Hall, on Vasileos Georgiou avenue.

Javier Rodriguez & Fatima Vitale headline the teaching alongside Giorgos Nikou & Katerina Chatzipanteli. Each night has its own milonga and DJ — Murat Cetinkaya on Friday's Bienvenida, Trajche Simonoski on Saturday's Gala, and Konstantinos "El Griego" Chalntoupis on Sunday's Despedida — with shows on Friday and Saturday and Argentine singer Martin Piñol live on Sunday, followed by an after-party.

The organisers have been running tango in Larissa since 2004, including La Milonga de Larissa since 2006.
