About RE-Jurmala Milonguero Meeting
RE-Jurmala Milonguero Meeting returns in autumn 2026 to its beloved home, SemaraH Hotel Lielupe in the charming resort city of Jurmala, Latvia. Nestled among fragrant pine trees just a 3-minute walk from the Baltic Sea, this elegant hotel provides the perfect backdrop for three days of pure milonguero connection.
The milongas take place in a cozy rooftop hall on the top floor of the hotel, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Baltic Sea, the surrounding forest, and Jurmala city, truly dancing in the sky. The event opens with a pre-party in Riga on Thursday evening, followed by five milongas across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, each hosted by a different international TDJ.
This is a strictly close-embrace event, nuevo and open-embrace are not welcomed. Participants are invited to honor traditional milonga codes, using only mirada and cabeceo for invitations. Registration is mandatory and capped at 100 dancers, with organizers maintaining gender balance and country balance to ensure the best possible dance experience for all.
SemaraH Hotel Lielupe is just a 15-minute drive from Riga International Airport, making it easily accessible for international travelers.
