About RE-Raduno
RE-Raduno returns in August 2026, gathering up to 90 close-embrace tango lovers at the historic Jumurda Manor, nestled in the heart of Latvia's Vidzeme Highlands near a beautiful lake. This encuentro is organized with love by TDJ Ieva Drevina - and doubles as her birthday celebration - making it one of the warmest and most personal events on the Baltic tango calendar.
The format is strictly close-embrace: nuevo and open-embrace are not welcomed. Dancers are asked to follow traditional milonga codigos, using only mirada and cabeceo for invitations and offering genuine respect and friendliness to all. Separate seating is provided to support the authentic encuentro atmosphere. Registration is mandatory, and a gender and country balance is maintained to ensure a harmonious dance floor.
The program runs from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, featuring four milongas led by an international DJ team: Evaldas Drasutis (Lithuania), Misha (Latvia), Wolfgang Weuste (Germany), and Ieva Drevina (Latvia). A pre-party in Riga on Thursday night kicks things off. Meals, breakfasts, and accommodation in shared or single rooms at the manor are available, along with an option to camp in your own tent.
Organizers arrange comfortable transfers from Riga airport, just over 100 km away, so getting there is effortless. If you love authentic close-embrace tango in a serene natural setting, RE-Raduno is the adventure for you.
