About Gavito Tango Festival
The Gavito Tango Festival returns to downtown Los Angeles from 1 to 4 October 2026, staged at the extraordinary Historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel. The 1920s landmark, which hosted some of the earliest Academy Awards ceremonies, lends its Hollywood glamour to four days of dancing in the same grand rooms that once celebrated Oscar's golden age.
The festival's scale is part of its draw: more than 50 events including workshops, practicas and milongas, with 38 workshops led by world-class maestros. Dancers move between two ballrooms, one dedicated to traditional tango and another, the NeotangoLA room, programmed for neo and alternative music, so guests can follow whichever musical world they prefer at any hour.
The 2026 maestro line-up brings together some of the most respected names dancing today, including Javier Rodriguez & Fatima Vitale, Diego Ortega & Aldana Silveyra, Simone Facchini & Gioia Abballe, Martin Vicente & Ayelen Urrutia, and Brenno Marques. Their seminars and stage performances anchor a program designed for serious study as well as social joy.
